'It will' – Chelsea legend Didier Drogba sends message to Nicolas Jackson

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has taken to social media in order to send a message to current Blues striker Nicolas Jackson after a rough week.

Jackson missed a host of easy chances against Manchester City on Saturday night and if he took them, as you’d expect your front man to do, then Chelsea would be through to the FA Cup final. The sole blame was not just on Jackson though, and he played well in the rest of the game, but his missed chances were crucial and it once again drew abuse and racism from some ‘fans’.

I say fans, but these people are not really fans. Criticise, sure, but abuse and racism is never acceptable and is just disgusting. Chelsea were even forced to take action on it yesterday and will look to punish those perpetrators.

But in a bit of shining light for Jackson, he has now been backed by one of the best ever players to wear the Chelsea shirt, Didier Drogba. And not only that, one of the best strikers to ever to it, not just at Chelsea but in world football. So to get the co-sign from Drogba, would have certainly put a smile on the face of Jackson last night.

Drogba took to X to post his short and sweet message to Jackson, but a message that would have meant to so much to him at this time.

‘Keep your head high up and never stop working hard, it will pay off,’ said Drogba alongside posting a couple of images of Jackson, as seen here…

It’s nice that Drogba has taken to socials to publicly back and support Jackson at this tough moment. Drogba had a similar inconsistent start to his Chelsea career, but we all know and remember well what happened after that, and the rest is histroy!
