How often do you think about the Roman Empire? It’s a question running all over TikTok, and thanks to the Eagles PR staff, it found its way into Philadelphia’s locker room.
The underlying premise is that men think about the Roman Empire more often than women. That’s hard to prove in a male-dominated locker room, but the Roman Empire does seem more popular among younger members of the team.

Veteran center Jason Kelce does not think about Romans and is confused by the question. That’s surprising given how ubiquitous he’s become on social media. The thought hasn’t crossed running back D’Andre Swift’s mind either, apparently.
Meanwhile, second-year defensive tackle Jordan Davis says he thinks about the Roman Empire, “quite a bit,” and has a massive gladiator tattoo on his calf to prove it. He’s quick to reference aqueducts, bathhouses and grapes, although grapes were a thing long before the days of Caesar.
According to USA Today, Google Trends data showed a 10-year high in searches for the term "Roman Empire" in September with +600% searches over the past week.
For now, the Eagles hope to keep their trend of winning games alive by not falling to the Buccaneers on “Monday Night Football.”
