It looks like Penn State has found its new OC.
The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman first reported late Thursday afternoon that Penn State will be hiring Kansas’ Andy Kotelnicki as its offensive coordinator, and that report has since been confirmed by multiple other outlets.
Kotelnicki was at Kansas for three seasons. In that time, he transformed Kansas’ offense from one that ranked outside the top 100 to one in the top-10. The offense ranked No. 6 in 2022 and No. 8 in ‘23.
Here’s what the people of social media had to say.
This is a fantastic hire for @PennStateFball at OC to get Andy Kotelnicki

Digging into Andy Kotelnicki’s offense as he prepares to take the Penn State OC job. What I love is there’s no limits to the run game. Spread option, wildcat formations, motions from and into the backfield, QB off center, it’s so damn creative.

Penn State hiring Andy Kotelnicki as OC.
James Franklin has to throw the bag at Manny Diaz right now. Needs to be top priority.

Penn State’s new OC Andy Kotelnicki will have the chance to reverse a painfully true narrative: lighting up Big 12 defenses means absolutely nothing in the Big Ten. Excited to see the system in action
